Favoritism? Shown by or TO God?

Recently someone tagged me in a post on facebook:

If God does not show favoritism, then why God likes the Jews so much?

Hohoho....Tough question, I thought for a while...hmm....It seems like I heard this somewhere before. Oh ya! I asked myself this before, but dared not think too deeply because of some fears (fear that this kind of question would challenge my faith). Ok, fine, I thought. I have no answers....Then the internet comes in handy.

I found a web page that may not be the perfect answer but still....I think it answers the question. Here is what I found:

Does God show favoritism to the Jews ?

Appreciating an often-misunderstood idea.

The Jewish nation is often referred to as "the Chosen People."

Many people (including Jews) are uncomfortable with this idea. They perceive the concept of a "Chosen People" as racist and mindful of the Nazi concept of a supreme "Aryan" nation. It appears to contradict the accepted Western ideal of all people being equal before God.

Is the Jewish concept of choseness racist?
When the Torah refers to the Jewish people as "chosen," it is not in any way asserting that Jews are racially superior. Americans, Russians, Europeans, Asians and Ethiopians are all part of the Jewish people. It is impossible to define choseness as anything related to race, since Jews are racially diverse.

Yet while the term "Chosen People" (Am Nivchar) does not mean racially superior, choseness does imply a special uniqueness.

What is this uniqueness? Historically, it goes back to Abraham. Abraham lived in a world steeped in idolatry, which he concluded was contradicted by the reality of design in nature. So Abraham came to a belief in G-d, and took upon himself the mission of teaching others of the monotheistic ideal. Abraham was even willing to suffer persecution for his beliefs. After years of enormous effort, dedication and a willingness to accept the responsibility to be God's representative in this world, G-d chose Abraham and his descendents to be the teachers of this monotheistic message.

In other words it is not so much that God chose the Jews; it is more accurate that the Jews (through Abraham) chose God.

Chosenness was not part of God's "original plan." Initially all of humanity was to serve the role of G-d's messengers, but after the fall of Adam, humanity lost that privilege, and it was open for grabs. Only Abraham chose to take the mantle. If others would have (and they were offered the choice), they too would have joined in this special covenant which was sealed upon the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai.

If a privilege is offered to everyone willing to pay the necessary price, nobody can protest that those willing to make the extra effort are being shown favoritism. For example: It is reasonable that an employee who agrees to work overtime, attend training seminars, and manage special projects, should be entitled to a performance bonus -- particularly if each employee was given the same opportunity.

The essence of being chosen means responsibility. It is a responsibility to change the world -- not by converting everyone to Judaism, but by living as a model community upheld by ethics, morals and beliefs of one God. In that way, we can influence the rest of mankind, a "light unto the nations" (Isaiah 42:6).

Judaism is Universal
Further, Judaism is not exclusionary. A human being need not to be Jewish to reach a high spiritual level. Enoch "walked with God," and Noah had quite a high level of relationship, though neither were Jewish. Our tradition is that all of the 70 nations must function together and play an integral part in that "being" called humanity.

So here's what I realised............... that God does not show partiality. He gives each one of us a choice. To choose or reject Him. The Jews (starting from Abraham) chose God, and the results are manifolds and manifolds of blessings. In the same way, if we choose to reject God, the results are disastrous (Sodom and Gomorrah). Just as the wages of sins is death, one of the basic truth of life is thatevery action has a result. God lets us choose our way, and bear our own consequences.

That's why, the Jews blessings don't just come in one day and they became "Chosen". No. It requires sacrifices and choices on their part.....

"I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because Abraham obeyed me and kept my requirements, my commands, my decrees and my laws." Genesis 26:4

Long Time No See, blogspot.

Yep, it's Chinese New Year again and it's been a while since I last updated my blog =D
Anyway, if you look two post before, you'll see my writings about last year's CNY (Yeah, it's thaaaat long) Well, if you want to know why I haven't posted for so long, maybe this will answer you...

Yep, you've got it right. Now, I'm not trying to blame this social network thingy for anything, yet it is really the reason why I have no time for blogging. So now, I will compare some pros and cons of fb n blogss.

I actually started fb later than my sis did. I created an account, yet without any intentions of using it. "Then u create for what ar?" That was the Question my sis kept bugging me with, which was usually followed by my response: "I just don't understand what's so interesting about facebook. You see your notifications and you post a line or two, hoping for some person to like it. Then what? Play games???"
"Haiya, you don't know how to use ma..."
I shrugged. Well, I thought. If you want to say something, why don't you post it in your blog? It's surely a whole lot better because it doesn't have a limit of words and you won't have to announce to the whole world what you are doing. Little did I know that this was the thrill of the fb system.

Finally after a few months, I hooked up on facebook. I figured out it had lots of applications, among the ones I enjoy: Chat, Comments and Likes, Games, God wants you to know, groups. Another good one was writing a status. Now, a status is just a blank space for you to fill in words. What you feel, what you think and what you want to say. Then. after clicking the button "share", all your friends will be able to view it.
Initially, I was naive enough (so as I call it) to really post some heartfelt thoughts and statements I feel would help others. Then people started commenting and liking. Now, that was when the "problem" came. Suddenly, I picked up the desire for my status to be noticed. (Don't you dare say you don't have this feeling before) I know it's normal. But yet the desire, or rather the longing grew even to the point of a kind of obsession.

I still remember logging in every hour or so ,even on late nights to view my notifications and to see if people like or commented on my status. Gradually, I myself came to the point of liking other people's post without looking, began commenting without considering, and posting things without pausing to think (Same feeling?).
I sometimes say things on facebook which I don't really mean or have a heart for, but just said it anyway so that more notice my status, the higher the thrill. And before I knew it, I was wasting my time in front of the comp waiting for notifications to pop out. Without realising,

It became more important than it should have been.

Then, I paused one day and asked myself. Is that really what I seek after? More people to like and comment on my status? To be the center of attraction? What use is this social network then, if it only consumes my time and eats up my soul?

Then after thinking, I set my objectives right for using fb again. It was simply to relax and interact with others in a casual way. Not striving after comments and likes. Just....having fun.

Haha, then there came some time to do blogging. XP

My dad once asked me "Do you know why all experiments start with an aim or objective?"
I shooked my head.
He replied, "Everything always has to have a purpose, an aim. When we do something, we need to know our aim in doing those things, or else it would be futile.

Futile....no avail.....useless

I know some of you may think: aiya, this guy...fb oni ma. Why think so much? Haha. Well, if so, I've reached my objective.
Today, I posted this facebook thingy, and talking about me setting my aim of using facebook right, for a reason. I hope we will understand the importance of aim and purposes. Whether we are handling a project, having a hard time managing our life, or doing something good but feeling unappreciated, or some other things, sometimes it's just good to just ask,

What am I doing this for ?
It's good sometimes, to just question our purposes of doing things, the reason we're still doing what we're doing, our purpose in life before moving on.......

Trip to Muka Head

On the 4^th June 2010, the MYF and Community Tution of the Wesley Methodist Church organized a trip to Muka Head, Penang. This trip was participated by 9 adults and 35 youths from the MYF and the Community Tuition. The objective of the trip was to have fellowship between the Community Tuition students as well as the MYFers.

The participants gathered in front of the Church Sanctuary at 7 a.m. in the morning. We boarded a bus KAE 5218 and started our journey at 7:15 a.m. A brief instruction was given by the organizer of the trip, Mr. Yeoh Ti Pheng followed by a prayer of blessing by Pastor Lee Peng Chiat. At 8 a.m., we stopped at Gurun to have our breakfast. We continued our journey and made several stops for toilet breaks as well as to purchase tidbits. On the bus, a light lunch was distributed and the video “The Bridge” was played followed by interesting point of views from both the youths and the adults.

At 10:45 a.m., we finally reached our destination. We were joined by Barnabas Yee and family there. We were given a short briefing and started our hike at 11:05 a.m. The hike was indeed a tortuous trail filled with small crevasses and dangling vines. We encountered a wide variety of flora and fauna and made several respite at beaches before reaching our destination. The whole group was exhausted by then. We rested at the Muka Head beach and carried out some activities such as collecting sea shells and having our lunch.

A small group of participants was willing to take up the challenge to hike up another trail to reach the lighthouse at the peak of Muka Head. This time, hiking up this trail required a lot of fitness and perseverance from us. By the time we reached the lighthouse, only a handful of participants remained. We had a opportunity to have a panoramic view of the verdant valleys below. It was indeed a magnificent vista that we relished every moment of it. We hiked back the trail and the whole group was divided into groups of tens before travelling back to our starting point by motorboats.

We bathed and changed before departing from Muka Head at 4:40 p.m. We then arrived at Queensbay Mall to have our dinner. Divided in groups of tens, we were then given free time to walk in the mall until 8:30 p.m. We had an enjoyable time until it was time to leave for home. We boarded the bus once again and headed for Alor Star. We arrived at the Church Sanctuary at 11:30 p.m.

The trip was indeed a successful one. The objective of the trip was reached and the participants enjoyed themselves tremendously besides gaining extra knowledge. The MYF and Community Tuition look forward for more trips like these.

You know, it doesn't always have to be a massive and grand celebration to make an occasion meaningful. Like this year, I'm sure many of you noticed the lack of atmosphere of the CNY celebration. But, I considered it as a time well spent, cauz it is the time spent with my families adn friends, which matters a lot to me.........

Seems like a simple meal rit? It isn't no super delicious food or high-class cuisines. But the very thing that make me miss the meal to this day is the intimate fellowship that we had while eating the steamboat. The kind of love bond between the members of families that never could be expressed by words.

Now back in Alor Star ,I went to my Grandma's sister house............

Again the kind of happy reunion and best wishes from everyone that can only be experienced once a year.

I'm Form 4 now, 16 years old. And live isn't as kind as it used to be to me. Dozens of works from schools, responsibilities, temptations, masks of hypocrisy ,and a growing hunger for fame. I hope it's just part and parcel of growing up. Form 4, sixteen, not numbers to kid with anymore. It's just a couple of years before I emerge from the cocoon of adolescence into adulthood. Life seems to be breaking out of me, and when it's time one day, I would spread my wings of the newly emerged butterfly and venture into the unknown.

This year, my mind seems to have a mind of itself, it's beginning to see the real world. And it isn't always easy to accept the things it sees. Yet through all complications, I still have a people who I can talk to and rely on. Parents and familes, they understand because they went through those things first. Some brothers and sisters in Christ, because they (are supposed to) have loving pure hearts that sincerely want to help others.

And yet, last but not least, everyday when I enter my room close the door behind me. He is just there, waiting patiently for me. To pour out everything to him. All frustrations, all responsibilities, and I just cry out everything to Him.

Everything.

And he listens, patiently and nodding his head. And after I finish, he says,"I have some words for you, would you mind?" He speaks with a gentle voice. And assuredly He says to me that He has plans to prosper me and not to harm me. That he went through teen life too, and nothing will be given beyond what I can bear. And I can always rely on Him, because all things work for good for those who love Him.

And lean on Him.

That's why until now, I'm pressed but not crushed, struck down but not destroyed. It's because my Heavenly Father will never leave me or forsake me. Never.

It was, like last year, a great camp.
Everything in that camp was great,the learning sessions were interesting, the games were fun.
And if I am not mistaken,
God revealed something to me.

It popped out in my head suddenly.I asked God for conformation and again I saw the word revival at the screen right away.
God was too good to me.
I wasn't worthy to receive that.

I knew it was Him.

RKC - Royal Kedah Club

I bet you haven't heard of this club before.It is not really like a club but more like a place with buffet facilities yet you have to pay the monthly fees.It's RM80 per month I think.....I just joined and I tell you.It was cool!Let me show you some of the facilities.

Basketball Match 2009

It's been a while since I last posted (I know,I know, it's been 2 months but compared to a decade, whatcha gonna call it?).Well, let's talk basketball now.
Somehow,my name was written into my class basketball team.It was a 5 on5 thingie.Our team members: Tan Chun Khin(Power Forward), Yeoh Ji Lie(Small Forward),Yeoh Ji Xun(PoyGuard),Desmond Ho(Shooting Guard),Yap Qi Quan(Centre),Chan Li Han(Shooting Guard),and Aaron Yeoh(I dono,but I should think Centre).These positions are not very accurate as we all almost have the same function.Lol.So, I started training.
After my PMR,I went to Ji Lie & Xun's taman to train.It was better than my taman cauz the ppl there are much more friendly.How much I improved?Well, I can't be sure.There was one day when I go there 90% of the balls I shoot and lay ups went in (if u think this isn't good,call me up then we 1 on 1).Then, the next day,I missed every shot and lay ups (On second thought, you don't need to call me up).So, in the end I didn't know my improvement.
First day,Match 1-3A7 vs 3A6. I went in in the 2nd quarter.Energised,I stealed the ball from the supposed-to-be best player on the opposing team.Dribble,dribble,then suddenly that best player come to me at bull force and knocked me down.To make matters worse,I fell on him and it was counted as my foul.(Great,how many blind refrees are there in that competetion?)I got my knee injured badly.3A7 won.
The rest of the matches I would not describe cauz that will take too long.But 3A7 won 3 out of 5 matches and was awarded no3.I'll post the picture of the trophy later.Until then,bye.

PMR-Practicaly Massive Repulsion

Well,I don't hate PMR as much as you think.I hate it far worse.Did you know how much fear it caused me?(yeah rit,so much that i can still online rit now).Okay,I now that but it's kinda freak me out this way.Try to follow.The nearer I get to PMR,the more I fear it but the more I feel it's useless.So I fear that when PMR comes,I will feel it's completely useless with the fear of thinking it's useless.Aaargh!I dono wat I'm talking about.But wat I know that is God will be with me through it.Plz pray for me to do my best (not necessary 8 As but it's thoughtful of you if you want to),and that I can glorify God in my studies.Amen!

During the Korean Praise,I had another experience with God.Ok,listen carefully......
During that day,I was messed up both mentally and spiritually(ask Gihon).I doubted God(ouch!).But that very same night,he touched my heart.
Ok,another korean evangelistic thingie.I didn't expect much.As I walked into the church,I thought they would be juz singing,preaching,challenging n stuff like that.Little I knew what would happened to me that night.I thought I would juz go home,same me,same mess-up.The message by Pastor Daniel was great.But it didn't touched me.All I did was "Ok,interesting."But when he called us to go up to the front to do God's work,I felt the urge to do so.So I went up.Pastors and elders started praying.Still I thought it was going to be the same again.Coming here,going back,unchanged.So I just prayed:"Lord,if it is your will,and if someone right now were to pray for me now,RIGHT now,I pray that you'll touch me and soften my heart."I didn;t expect anything to happen.Then,a hand touched my shoulder.Whoa,I thought.Coincidence,coincedence.....this is not real.Aunty Peh Lan prayed for me.She whispered to me some words( which I won't mention.Nope!)and I suddenly felt so unworthy.A doubting-the-Lord boy still in thelords eyes.It was .....love.I cried and cried....(non-stop,aloud,very badly....you name it.).I lied down and still couldn't stop.Yet deep inside I knew that the Father had touched me.
Well thats wat I wanted to say.Thx for listening and .......oh by the way,if you're the Korean praise guitarist and you're reading this now....Love your guitar :P

I attended a seminar in FGC's yesterday.The speaker talked about the book of Revelation.It was very helpful to me as it reminds us that the book of Revelation is no longer a far-away future but yet a time that is going to come to past.Okay,let's see,do you know what's the rapture?The one where all Christians will be brought up to heaven?Well,I tell you what we saw in the video clip.Okay,there was this "Once upon a time,God said let there be light and there was light".Aww,how awesome and wonderful......6000 years later.......Boom!crash!Bang!Great,it shocked us very much and juz as we thought that it was what the Pastor was trying to tell us,the view changed from the din and war from outside to the inside of a peaceful,quiet church.The pastor inside, holding a Bible,was preaching about revelations(yeah,very much like our speaker) and the church inside the video clip looked about the same as FGC's.".......and He could come anytime.He may even come this very moment.Maybe next week,or just next month or maybe.....ZOOOOOMMMMM!!!!The bible dropped on the floor.The pastor was gone.So was the other Christians that were raptured.The people left behind started crying and repenting,but it was too late.....
Well,if not mistaken,Tim still have the video.He'll put it on MYF one day.What I am telling you is to actually remind you that it is not far anymore.Wake up,Christians.Jesus is coming back.It is not long before we are taken to heaven and everything we have on this earth becomes worthless.Wake up."The harvest is plentiful,but the workers are few."Not to offend anyone,someone who didn't go to that seminar had a vision of a plentiful harvest,golden paddies waiting to be harvested.Another had a vision of people,Christians who are caught up in their daily life that they do not see the ripe harvest around them and the Lord is crying...And only today,today,someone had a vision of a golden harvest,burning with the fire of the spirit of God.And me myself is now always hearing about the harvest.Rise up,O Christians.Although there is still countless sin and unlimited space for learning for myself,I urge you,if you read until here to start a revival in our land.Say to the Lord"Send me"for his work.
You need to understands that I HAD to pour this out to you because I feel that I needed to.Thx for hearing and God bless.

Sorry for the late post again......Well,I've kinda problem getting online 'cause there's so much things to do(folio,studies.....).Anyway,do you see the picture up there(the one with the third genius person who looks a little like me),I entered the Kedah Mighty Mind contest organized by The Star 'n RHB bank on the 18th of April,and I tell you how fun it was!In a group of three with my kinda two best friend(Gihon 'n Hong Way),the three geeks who was on the day before working very,very,extra hard on playing the computer :( walked sleepily towards the registration table.And then the tough time began......
During the 1st round,we competed on the first round with 58 teams from schools all over the Northern district.The 1st round consist 20(if I'm not mistaken) question on Science,Math,and General knowledge.They provide you with a sort of remote the allows you to press the buttons for your answer.The 1 science 'n the 2 math genius(juz kiddin,don take it to heart)got through most of the SS and Math question with the word "sub sub suai" until came to the general question part."Which part of these countries is the furthest from the sea?","Hmm,not New Zealand,not China....","Let's try Malaysia then"(pressed A for Malaysia,waited for the answer)...........XXX the answer is China, 'cause China is very big,some part of China is super far from the sea "yeh..." :) Wanna know sometin better?For all the questions we tried to "tiang" on GK,we got it all......WRONG!!!Anyway we still got the 9th place and went in the 2nd round,which only consist 30 team.
Actually,it's a disgrace for me to write about the 2nd round(Dan Ting would know that).Because it is simply based on your creativity,the one 3 of us lack most.During the "hands on "challenge,we were asked to build a rubber band ejector which shoots out 5 paperballs in a load.We were given some stuff like rubberbands, manillas, wires, cotton, glove, scissors and othe stuff.Easily,naturally,and peacefully,the 3 genius burst their brain out of their skull to just come out with someting ........stupid(the best word I can come up with)We were using the principal of Aaron's theory(you know,the one where you take a rubberband between your index finger 'n thumb and pull a "V" shaped paper throuh the rubberband to shoot it,yeah that one)We invented the most sophisticated,crumbling,unfinished "creature".Aargh,we lacked only 2 minutes.The judge made a total confused face when he saw our "thing".Great.Some people commented it looked like a crashed helicopter.Even better.I wish I have the pixs of it.
Anyway,the 3 of us still had a great fun(I mean,at least we thought of sometin).We celebrated our great victory at Kentucky's.We went home much earlier than the results of 1st,2nd and 3rd were announced because,well........you know why.

He was going to talk about the human body in a service or sometin.One evening on his way back home,he encountered a biologist. The biologist requested him to share his talk.Whoa,that's bad.It's juz like telling a black-tie person how to fight,right?Along his sharing the bio was being like"Ok,go on,go on,nevermind"and stuff like that.When he finished,the bio gave him a grand finalle to his speech-LAMININ,a type of protein that is of very useful funtion.The bio asked him to check it out on the internet.
On the net,he found out that Laminin is a protein that is part of the extracellular matrix in humans and animals. The extracellular matrix (ECM) lies outside of cells and provides support and attachment for cells inside organs (along with many other functions). Laminin has “arms” that associate with other laminin molecules to form sheets and bind to cells. Laminin and other ECM proteins essentially “glue” the cells (such as those lining the stomach and intestines) to a foundation of connective tissue. This keeps the cells in place and allows them to function properly. The structure of laminin is very important for its function (as is true for all proteins). Wow,MYF was started at 5:30 that week a perfect timing for my afternoon nap.I was helping pastor too carry the beds and mattress.So was Tim Chong,Greg,and Samuel.They were unexpectedly heavy(I meant the mattresses not them).We managed anyway.Then we went out to look at others.I mean,after all we helped rit?To look out for danger and stuff.I saw how Jonathan choped the tree.He cut only a couple times before his big hand pushed the whole thing down.Poor tree.......We had some refreshments and, guess what?Aunt Pehlan prepared a angpao for all of us(so kind of her).Later,we had a jamming session and everybody headed back home.Sweet!

The story line was this:A company worker(MAN) made a mistake and humiliated the minister.The company's reputation dropped.The worker supervisor(WOMAN) deducted his pay and resulted in a conflict.An accident occurred and their "souls" somehow exchange.Nobody knew about this and no one could help them.While this comedy continued,the touching part came.Only when they weren't themselves they could see their own weakness.For the supervisor(WOMAN),she didn't take care of her elderly mother well.The mother helped her overcome the hutang caused by the worker by giving all her life savings and did it when she(supervisor) wasn't around.But because of the exchange,she in the worker's body witnessed her motherly love.Tears blurred her vision.
For the worker(MAN),in the woman's body saw how much he meant to his daughter.His young daughter always put on a smiling face whenever she saw him coming.Both regretted but it was too late.They couldn't express their love to their love ones anymore.It was too late.........

Almost too late.......

They found a way.They got married.So now the worker(mother) finally can love his daughter once again while the supervisor(father) can call her mother "Mom" again.................

I learnt a lesson from this story."We must look at ourselves and reflect on ourselves".Juz like what the Bible says:"Judge yourself before you judge others".May God bless you.

Penang Reunion

25 JAN-Oh ya,guys I forgot my other grandmother(paternal)'s irresistible steamboat.That was a meaningful time because of that sight.The sight of all my family members,grandparents,uncles n aunts just getting together and after saying grace.......ATTACK!!!Delicious chicken-based pepper soup to contain all the ingredients such as fish balls,meatballs,crab sticks,meaty mushrooms.HMMM!!!Praise God for the food and fellowship.We ate while talking,talked while eating.Man,I would cherish every moment of that.
On the next day,we headed 4 the beach.Everybody said:"Great it's the low tide season!"Now in three guesses ,why were we there?Sunbath?NO!Ocean swimming?NO!Being a bait for sharks?DUH!! KK back to our topic,we went there juz to conquer the lala(shellfish) colony.We dug,detect,destroyed,snatched,tugged,pulled,hold prisoner to the lalas.Well actually our main objective was non other than EATING them.Look at my evil sister and me beside the trembling lalas......... juz kiddin..............

22nd JAN's squash tournament,I would never forget it because........IT WAS SO VERY BORING(ask Daniel Ting).From 8 in the morning till 4 in the afternoon,I only played 2 games.Zzzz....I went under 15.During the 1st game,a MSSK pro(representing Kedah) battled against me.Too bad :(You should guess the results by now....Then the 2nd game,I won the Indian guy named Mangleden.Only later I found out that a competitor can't lose in the first game or else he can't get in the semi-final.The organiser told me it was useless to keep playing since the hope of winning was already out of sight.I was kicked right back home.Sniff..sniff...Anyway it was a good experience for me.Yeah.That's about it.Thx for reading this.Later!

The most fun part of Sentosa island was the "luge n skyride" thing(our 1st stop).It was both thrilling and fun.Luge was a vehicle with wheels n it was controlled by gravity.If you let go the handle,you whizz down the winding track at full speed.Of course,it's not suicide fun,it also give you a choice to break if you pull the handle.Here's a piture of me while breaking.

Skyride was awesome too.Though it was like a typical thing,I tensed at first.Shhh....don't tell anyone.Look!Kk.That's all for now.Bye.

And of course,the first thing we did after getting down that SUPER-fast MRT ride was to find my kind-hearted aunt(maternal)for a comfortable accommodation.We soon learned that most of the Sing's houses were flats cauz Sing was too small.Staying at the highest level of the flat, we had the advantage of feasting our eyes on the beautiful view of the vicinity.

And our first stopover,"SINGAPORE SCIENCE CENTRE".As a freaking fan of science,I was like a hungry wolf being given a...a....a roasted-pepperoni-garlic-oyster sause-topped chicken!(my idea of dishes aren't that well,so don't stone me if the ingredients don't go well).Anyway,the science centre was well mantained and indeed it gave me a bunch of knowledge.I mean,I even saw a real human brain soaked in an anti-rot liquid with the 2 eyeballs stickin out of the front as if it was staring at me!(Prepare a plastic bag before you scroll down to see the picture)Plus,there were millions of optical illusions that made my eye go round n round.

If you're wondering why I haven't been posting,it's because I went to Sing.When I first got there,2 things I noticed about this country:Many people,Few cars.And I tell you,Singapore has the cleanest road you could possibly imagine.Not even a strap of paper is left unnoticed.Curious?Well one thing the government is strict.One thing you threw from your hand will result 500 bucks flying away from your pocket.Neat,huh?It's just like they say:Litter?fine 500.Smoking?fine 500.Blah blah?fine 500.In the end,Singapore is a FINE country.

WHOOOAAAAA!!!!!NFCF was a total blast!Why?

On the 1st day,after registration,we had some ice-breakers.At that time we got to know many different people.You've gotta find people with the same month of birth and the same shoe size...
Nice.After that,you separate into groups.And our Group Leader is......(drum beatings)..... Uncle JIMMY.Then,the most exciting time was that to know who you're gonna be stuck with in the camp for 6 days,6 long days.To my surprise, they were like me,14 and harmless.......Anyway their names are Gary Yeo 'n Timothy Sim.Never regretted knowing them.Then there came theme talk 1,and one thing that hit me hard is that everyone is chosen by God,and no one is a accident on this earth....

On the2nd day they talked about the SCF(school christian fellowship).And again some thing struck me though I knew this long ago,that the purpose of the SCF is for God, for others 'n ourselves.A strong SCF needs capable leadership,committed members meaningful programmes 'n a loving community.

Ha!the 3rd day.Now I can give you 7 reason why the Bible is God's word.So listen carefully.

1st AMAZING UNITY-the Bible was written at a time range of1500 years,by 35++writters at different locations.Yet, despite the factors of time,individuals 'n place,it was brought together at a united, non-contradictory theme. ?Don't you think that God's hand is behind all this?

2nd INDESTRUCTIBILITY-no books has suffered such severe attack as the Bible.But the Holy Scripture stands unbroken.Don't you think that God's hand is behind all this?

3rd HISTORICAL AUTHENTICITY-I need to get a drink.See for yourself.Click here.Don't you think that God's hand is behind all this?

4th SCIENTIFIC COHERENCE-What the Bible says has many indirect references to scientific matters.eg Isaiah 40:22(He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth),Job 26:7(He spread the northern skies over empty space;He suspends the earth over nothing).So,see for yourself,would you believe that these antique writers flew out of earth with NASA to prove that the earth is round and it is "suspended over nothing".....or would you rather believe that God told them these?

5th PROPHETIC FULFILLMENT-Isaiah predicted the coming of Jesus though Jesus' birth was hundreds of years after his death.Don't you think that God's hand is behind all this?

6th ABSOLUTE TEACHINGS-The Bible teaches everything and no men could write it.Don't you think that God's hand is behind all this?

7th LIFE TRANSFORMING POWER-Last but not the least,the proof of the pudding is in the eating.Though I can prove everything to you,the most important one is for you to experience it yourself.Because the Bible is God's Word,anyone,I mean ANYONE who reads it would be changed for the better.Disagree?Ask your Christian friends around you.

Now that you have read them.Don't you think that God's hand is behind all this?

On the 4th day,we talked about BGR 'n SEX.Instead of being embarrassed,the young people were HYPERACTIVE!!!Well not exactly...(I like to exaggerate)But they responded with questions,which I think how a BGR 'n SEX seminar should be.

On the 2nd last day,we had a time call silence and solitude.What is your quick comeback for a 3 hour long time which you read the Bible and Pray?Boring right?But it's totally different when God speaks to you.God said to me through the Bible that Jesus is the source of wisdom(Prov 2:6)and to gain wisdom is to respect and obey His words(Prov1:7)The 3 hour time was too short for me...

That night,was a wonderful night which the officers performed for us and group performance was amazing.If you are a NSCFer,you would know why I said that I can't believe Xieh Jin did a handstand.(don't get angry Xieh Jin,I didn't say anything)Haha!During the group performance,someone's pants dropped but he caught it in time.Good thing too.

The last day was a emo time,with goodbyes to be made.My best friends that I made in this camp,Gary and Timothy had to go back and it was a hard time seeing the youth's go as I bid them farewell.So long,Gary and Tim.

The best time of the year,is now here!Everyone(except for those in SPM)is in for the BIG time.Now,I'm pretty sure this long-term holiday will be the best ever!(don't listen to me,cause I say that every year).A trip to Singapore,an NSCF camp,and......... tons of time to spend with the computer.I mean,what could be possibly be better than that?Hold on guys,my NSCF camp is Monday,which makes it.......6 more days.Don't worry after the 6 days 5 nights christian camp,I'll come back and tell you what's in there.I heard God is in that place,showing people supernatural things,healing the sick and touching people lives.I'm not too sure about anything.... but I'll come back and tell you guys if I have been touched and shed any tears(sniff...sniff...I'm one hard-hearted person which doesn't cry easily.Ha!)Until then,later.
